Course Description:
Simulation Design and Delivery's purpose is to improve training quality by presenting instructional methods that emphasize interactive student-training techniques. Topics include building sand table exercises; Google Earth and technology use in exercises; functional, full-scale drills; and other types of tabletop simulations.
This is a really fun class, and it's a supplement to other training courses such as M-410 Facilitative Instructor.
Target Group:
This course is designed for students at all levels who have a passion for teaching and want to improve or enhance their delivery of training at local levels. Lecture will not be emphasized, but hands-on exercise development will be used. Some time will be provided for students to develop their own simulations.
This course usually has a long waiting list, so prioritize nominations, and be ready to come at the last minute if we get a cancellation.
Prerequisites:
Students must have a good attitude and be an active participant in class.
