Course Description:
An interagency class for wildland dispatchers, designed to help the participants understand the roles and functions of law enforcement dispatching in the emergency dispatch centers. List the most common law enforcement incidents, learn the agencies organizational structures, learn the importance of the dispatcher as first point of contact, evaluate an incident to determine an appropriate response. Identify the procedures for making inquiry into law enforcement information systems and the capability of cross referencing the information obtained within these systems.
Prerequisites:
D-105 Initial Attack Dispatcher, or equivalent
land management and protection agency dispatcher course, e.g. Emergency Command Center Operations (ECC).
