Course Description:

An intensive, hands-on course covering fire engine operations, pump theory, hydrolics, emergency vehicle operations/driving skills, and vehicle maintenance.

Target Group:

By Priority:

a.  Engine Captains
b.  FEO
c.  AFEO
d.  Water Tender Operators
e.  All Others

Prerequisites:

Must be in possession of a current Class B drivers license with the following endorsements/certifications:

a.  Tank Endorsement
b.  Air Brake Certification

If the driving test was taken with an automatic, then a permit for a manual vehicle must accompany the student.

Student must posses a current medical card for the Class B license and have it in possession during the entire course.

Student must also have been issued a current FS or Government License for the vehicles used at the academy.  (26001+ GVW, Red lights and siren, 4X4)
