The Danny Rhynes Training Center is located East of San Bernardino off the 10 Freeway.

Eastbound I-10: from Ontario Airport approximately 25 miles to ANDERSON ST/TIPPECANOE AVE. Proceed North on the TIPPECANOE AVE. Turn left at 602 S. Tippecanoe.

 

North or Southbound I-215: turn east on Interstate 10 and follow the above directions.

 

Travelers arriving by air should book flights into Ontario International Airport, which offers services from several airlines and car rental agencies. Meals and lodging are not offered at the center but several restaurants are available nearly for those eating lunch. Recommended lodging is located at the located at the Waterman / Hospitality Lane area off of Interstate 10, just a fifteen minute commute from the training center.

There are many restaurants offering several types and styles of dining on Hospitality Lane as well as the standard fast food establishments through out the area. All are within walking distance of the above-mentioned lodgings.

All Federal Government students should provide a Request, Authorization and Certification of Training (SF-182) and/or a completed (both sides) NWCG Nomination Form prior to or on the first day of the training session. If you are unable to provide this form you will need as a minimum the name of your home unit and your chargeable management code for training. Students from other than Federal agencies such as local cities, county and state fire departments can pay the tuition fees by check or money order payable to USDA Forest Service.

 

Individuals or units wishing to cancel attendance at a session should do so through their unit training coordinator. Cancellations should be made as timely as possible in order to provide opportunities for other candidates to attend. Unless an emergency prevents you from attendance, notification of cancellations should be made no later than two weeks prior to the course. No-shows whom have not made an attempt to cancel will have their sending unit billed for the tuition costs.
