Fire Academy (CFA)
QUARTERS & MEALS: Quarters at the Academy are available for both female and males. The north door of the recreation building can be opened with a State key. Meals will be provided at the Academy on all days of training.
ATTIRE FOR COURSES: Casual office attire will be the dress for the courses. This means attire suitable for public contact (no blue jeans and t-shirts).
SPECIAL STUDENT INFORMATION: Students should bring the following personal equipment or items:
- Bath & hand towels
- Alarm Clock
- Laundry bag
- Shoe shine kit
- Toilet articles (razor, toothpaste & brush, soap, etc.)
- Civilian clothes
- Camera & film if desired
- Athletic gear
Students should bring sufficient money to pay for meals that may not be provided and to take care of transportation, laundry, cleaning, and miscellaneous purchases.

PERSONAL CALLS: Personal calls can be placed to or made from the pay phones in the student quarters at the Academy (209) 274-2426 . The Academy office telephone number is (209) 274-2426. Personal calls placed to you during normal office hours should be limited to genuine emergencies and all calls should be placed "Person to Person". There are no provisions for personal guests or Visitors at the Academy during the training period.
All nominations for courses at CFA will be thru the Northern Calif. Training Center (for all FS and Outside California Agencies) The NWCG Form needs to be submitted by November 1.
